Netcomic Navigator

While surfing the web like it's 2006, looking for new webcomics to follow and add to my RSS reader, I stumbled upon Kagi's smallcomic.txt, a list of almost 400 webcomic RSS feeds.

This is great! So many wonderful artists sharing their comics online, and via RSS please.

In order to find my own nuggets in there, the subset of webcomics I want to subscribe to (400 is too many of course, and not all are to my liking), I vibe coded this little app: Netcomic Navigator.

It fetches smallcomic.txt, and then the last posts from every RSS feed in the list.

Leaving aside the mechanics of vibe coding, as this post is only about speech bubbles (see what I did there?), I'm happy to share I had a fantastic time browsing all these websites and old comics and new comics, and discovering new genres and re-discovering forgotten ones.

I ended up adding a perfect number of new feeds in my reader (28 indeed). These artists are doing an incredible job!

So here's a little gift for you, a surfing session for the small web. Got a bit of time? Choose your adventure:
